Frequently Asked Questions

Medical Travel FAQ

How does BMTA work?
BMTA is a medical concierge service. You submit your medical file, our team reviews it and refers you to the most suitable specialist and hospital in India, Turkey, or Africa. We coordinate every step: medical planning, visa, travel, on-site support, and post-treatment follow-up.
Do I book a doctor directly?
No. BMTA does not allow direct bookings. All consultations and treatments are coordinated exclusively through the BMTA Medical Team. This ensures quality control, the best specialist match, and continuity of care.
Which countries are available?
BMTA currently coordinates care in India (Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai), Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara), and select African partner hospitals in Kenya, South Africa, and Cameroon. More destinations are added regularly.
How does the medical visa work?
BMTA handles the visa process with you. We provide the hospital invitation letter, help compile your medical file, advise on embassy requirements, and guide you through each step. See our Medical Visa Guide for country-specific details.

Treatment FAQ

How much does treatment cost?
Costs vary by treatment, hospital, and case complexity. BMTA provides transparent, itemized estimates only after reviewing your medical file. There are no hidden fees.
How long should I stay in India?
Length of stay depends on your treatment. Simple procedures may require 5–7 days; complex surgeries like cardiac or orthopedic procedures may require 14–21 days. Your BMTA coordinator will advise based on your case.
Can I travel alone?
Yes. BMTA offers the Solo Patient Package — a comprehensive service with a dedicated Patient Care Companion, airport transfers, hospital assistance, and daily support for patients traveling without a family member.

Travel & Support FAQ

Is nursing care available?
Yes. BMTA provides Patient Care Companion services, including daily nursing assistance, accompaniment to appointments, meal assistance, and family communication. This is part of the Solo Patient Package.
What accommodation is available?
BMTA arranges accommodation options ranging from hospital-adjacent serviced apartments to premium hotel suites, depending on your preference and budget. All options are vetted by our team.
Is there local assistance during treatment?
Yes. BMTA has on-the-ground coordinators in India and Turkey who provide daily support, translation, hospital coordination, and logistical assistance throughout your stay.
